FALL

Take time to stop and breathe in this crisp fall air.  Stop on the side of the road and bask in the beauty around you.  This is what is beautiful in the world, so simple and right there to enjoy.  Pretty soon it will be a frozen sparkling white landscape and we will have to wait for natures artist to come paint it again next year…

The "D" family - 2014 version

What more can you ask for than a couple pairs of gorgeous brown eyes, a beautiful fall palette and a warm sunny afternoon??  All these elements came together in this wonderful photo shoot with this sweet family!  So awesome to see these kids grow up and start to develop their individual personalities. We had a wonderful time posing it up in Stephenfield and were able to capture these memories :)

The "M" Family

Last Sunday I had the sheer pleasure of capturing some family keepsakes for the M Family!  They are close to my heart as Jo and I have been friends for 22 years but this time we were aiming to capture generations within the whole family for them to treasure :)  Their choice in colour and the lush green landscape of D and S's gorgeous yard made my job SO easy!  Here are some of the favourites that I would like to share although there were over 100 that I could not resist!
Hope you can enjoy these photos for many years of your beautiful families and sweet grandkids!

The adorable "D" family

This week I was asked to photograph this wonderful family. I must say I was nervous as this was the first time I have done pictures for someone outside my close friends but this family was relaxed, gorgeous and SUPER sweet. It was really hard to not pinch little "N"s cheeks or to give Miss "O" a big squeeze with her big brown wonderous eyes! The kids were SO well behaved and posed with ease for me! Here are some of my favorites :)

Carman Blizzardfest "MA-MOW-WE-TAK DOG SLED RACES"

Had the honor of being recruited to help out with the first annual dog sled races at this years Blizzardfest festivities! What an AMAZING weekend! Takes me back to the days of the Yukon quest and Rendezvous in Whitehorse, YT where I grew up! This was the first event of its kind held in these parts and personally I think it was a FANTASTIC success! Sean Billing, event co-ordinator for the Dog sled races, should be highly commended for pulling off such an ordeal with NO real hitches (well maybe a random sled full of dogs running around free for awhile but other than that..NONE) Seriously though, it was such a warm experience. Thank you so much Sean for including me in your day, I learned a lot about this sport AND how to take pictures with one hand and time a race finish with the other! See you all next year!
